Refresher Training

Oxford Aviation Academy offers a range of Refresher Training courses that allow a pilot to renew a licence that has expired. The applicant must meet the Refresher Training requirements of the appropriate regulatory authority that issue the licence and must complete a Licence Proficiency Check (LPC).

OAA offers three standard Refresher Training courses:

Course Information

Refresher 1

This course is recommended for a pilot with a type rating that has been lapsed for between 6 and 18 months.

Technical training and performance weight & balance self study
One full flight simulator session
Licence Proficiency Check

Refresher 2

This course is recommended for a pilot with a type rating that has been lapsed for between 18 and 30 months.

Technical training for two days as CBT
Performance weight & balance self study
Two full flight simulator sessions
Licence Proficiency Check

Refresher 3

This course is recommended for a pilot with a type rating that has been lapsed for more than 30 months.

Technical training for four days as CBT.
Performance weight & balance classroom instruction
Three full flight simulator sessions
Licence Proficiency Check
