Senior Crew Training

Whenever more than one cabin crew member is onboard, a Senior Cabin Crew (SCC) must be nominated. The cabin crew member must have at least one years flying experience on an aircraft type in the company, prior to SCC training.

Objective

The objectives of the Oxford Aviation Academy Senior Cabin Crew Training course is to give the candidate the knowledge and confidence to function as an SCC, and to be responsible for the leadership and coordination of the cabin safety and emergency procedures. The training is performed as a workshop including theoretical discussions, practical exercises, and a written test.

Description

The course includes training in knowledge and confidence when functioning as a Senior Cabin Crew member, and in the importance of how to conduct and co-ordinate safety and emergency procedures.

The course covers the following topics:

  • Introduction
  • Pre-flight briefing
  • Co-operation within the crew
  • Review of operator's requirements and legal requirements
  • Flight and duty time limitations and rest requirements
  • Human factors and crew resource management
  • Accident and Incident reporting

Prerequisites

Intended for initial / Basic & Conversion trained CCM with at least one year's experience as an active Cabin Crew member.

Conditions

Based on EU-OPS subpart O 1.1000) The course meets EU-OPS requirements but not the Operator's specifics.
