Door Operation (normal & emergency modes)
With fully operational cabin doors, training can be completed in both normal and emergency modes in accordance with EU-OPS. The customer has the choice whether to deploy a slide or practice with a simulated force. The correct forces can be simulated on the doors both in normal and emergency modes to support the recent changes in EU-OPS.
Evacuation Drills / Slide Descents
Training slides can be attached for evacuation training or, if preferred, the capability of deploying active slides is offered on request.
Fire & Smoke Training
OAA is able to offer Fire & Smoke Training conforming to EU-OPS. This training encompasses technical presentation, practical rescue/evacuation drills (within the smoke simulator) and practical fire extinguisher training.
Emergency Procedures
Practical scenarios can be carried out to incorporate flight deck / cabin communications, PA announcements, brace drills and passenger evacuation.
Passenger Demonstrations/Service
From security sweeps of the aircraft to Passenger Safety demonstrations to Cabin Service, all these can be done on the aircraft in a 5 abreast seating configuration with service trolleys available in a demonstration galley.
Passenger Handling
Practical training can be carried out understanding the environment within the aircraft, in a 5 abreast seating configuration, which lends itself to conducting scenario based training.
Air stairs Operation
Gives flight attendants the ability to practice using air stairs on a real aircraft with capability of demonstrating and practicing deployment and retraction procedures.
Pilot Incapacitation
Practical training can be conducted within the flight deck to ensure that the students are aware and capable of carrying out the procedures. The actual flight deck ensures that the student is fully aware of how the seat works and the limitations of working in a confined space.
First Aid (Aviation medicine - AVMED)
In conjunction with requirements of EU-OPS OAA is able to offer three types of aviation medicine courses:
Ditching/Wet Drill
Using local third party leisure facilities OAA is able to offer water survival training, this includes the actual donning and use of personal floatation equipment in water along with swimming and simulated rescue exercises.
