Modular ATPL

Whether you choose to attend our full-time course or study with us through Distance Learning to complete your theoretical training, you can be rest assured that you are in good hands. Oxford Aviation Academy has always achieved excellent results in the JAA ATPL ground examinations. Many thousands of individual examination papers have been completed here at Oxford since the inception of JAR-FCL, and the rate of first time passes in all papers has remained consistently high. The key elements are:

Quality and experience of the instructor team
Quality of the training materials
Use of Computer Aided Instruction and CBT

Your choice of either attending OAA for 22 weeks on a full-time basis, or to study in the comfort of your own home, may well be dictated by your particular circumstances. If you cannot take six months off from work then Distance Learning might be the only solution, but the fact that you can even consider the option of completing your theoretical studies using a Distance Learning course does serve to illustrate the flexibility associated with modular training options.

Whichever form of modular theoretical training you prefer, one thing is common - namely the need to take and pass the JAR-FCL examinations.

You will need to sit 14 examination papers as shown on the list below. Subjects are divided into two sets - each set being undertaken on completion of the appropriate phase of ground training.
