Some flying or gliding experience would of course be beneficial, but is not essential. We regret that current CPL or ATPL holders are not eligible for the programme.

For the BA Future Pilot Programme, assessment and selection will take place in two stages.
Only those individuals judged to have reached a sufficiently high standard in Stage 1 will proceed on to Stage 2.
The assessment process is intended to identify individuals that both OAA and BA consider to have the necessary skills, aptitude and personal characteristics to succeed in airline pilot training and then into a flying career with BA.
The one-off cost for undertaking OAA Skills Assessment & Selection with OAA is £199.
Candidates who are successful at Stage 1 will be notified by BA and will then proceed onto Stage 2 at no further cost other than your travel and subsistence (if necessary).
Dates for assessment and selection will be notified by OAA or BA as appropriate.
