Airline Pilot training has been our core business for almost 50 years; building a respected reputation globally for the highest standards in quality and innovation. We are dedicated to providing you with both an enjoyable and highly rewarding training experience from start to finish.
To start the application procedure we have to get to know you better which involves the following steps:
1. Please complete a simple application form by following the link on this page.
2. Your application form will be reviewed quickly by our team of skills assessors and you will be notified if you are either successful or unsuccessful at this initial stage.
3. If you are notified that your application has been successful we will then invite you to join our skills assessment process at our airline training centre at Moorabbin Airport in Melbourne.
4. Our skills assessment team will take you carefully through the process (which can take up to a total of 2 days) which you will certainly enjoy and learn about yourself irrespective of the final result. At the same time you will also learn more about us first hand at our training centre. There is a total fee of $500 for the skills assessment process made up of: $300 for day 1 and another $200 if you progress to day 2.
5. If you are one of the successful applicants, you may then be offered a place on one of the OAA/Jetstar training courses planned throughout the year.
Courses are scheduled to commence throughout the year and you may apply at any time for the various programmes providing this on-line application process remains ‘live’.
We are currently recruiting for the following Programmes:
Jetstar APP First Officer Cadet Pilot Programme (APPFO):
1. Minimum age on commencement of training of 17 years
2. CASA Class 1 Medical Certificate
3. Satisfactory completion of the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) or its equivalent, with the following subjects forming the prerequisites for the course; VCE Units 3 & 4 - a study score of at least 20 in English (any) and Further Mathematics. Passes maybe accumulated over more than one year.
4. Successful pass of OAA Skills Assessment
Advanced Cadet Pilot Programme (ACP):
1. Valid CASA Class 1 Medical Certificate
2. CASA ATPL Theory Exams Passed
3. CASA Commercial Pilots Licence (CPL)
4. Valid CASA Multi-Engine Command Instrument Rating (IR)
5. Logged 100 hours as pilot in command
6. Successful pass of OAA Skills Assessment
7. Maximum total time of 1000 hours flying
