Engineer and Maintenance Training

We offer a comprehensive suite of training packages for aircraft Maintenance Engineers constructed and delivered in accordance with JAR Part 66 Appendix III and approved under EASA Part 147. Covering the BAE Systems Regional Aircraft fleet for the time being (more aircraft types will progressively be added to our portfolio) courses are designed to enable maintenance personnel to carry out effective line and base maintenance tasks.

Engineering and Maintenance

B1 courses cover the basic trades of airframe, engine, electrical power and avionic LRU’s using conventional classroom instruction. B2 courses cover electrical power and avionics. We can also conduct engine ground running courses using our FFS or BAE 146 FTD.

Our full-length conversion courses are designed to satisfy the requirements of Part 66 Category B1 or B2 Licence holders. In addition to full conversion courses, we also offer differences training allowing easy and cost effective upgrades between early and later examples of the same aircraft type. General familiarisation courses

that give an overview of the aircraft are also run. These courses can be customised in both depth and detail to suit the needs of particular students.

For non-JAR operators (subject to relevant aviation authority approval) we can provide maintenance personnel training under BCAR section L - airframe/powerplant and electrical/avionics - courses.

Engineering and Maintenance

Training is delivered by a dedicated, highly knowledgeable, team of instructors with a diverse range of backgrounds including BAE Systems manufacturing and the armed forces. Courses can be delivered at the customer’s own location or at our Manchester facility equipped with purpose-built classrooms and the latest multimedia systems, allowing us to use a wide selection of video, computer generated graphics, and animations to supplement more traditional instructional methods.
